Bloomin’ Barn Antiques in Bloomingdale
September 23, 2021
Just six miles North of Rockville, Indiana in Parke County, you will find the Bloomin’ Barn tucked away in wooded seclusion. You will notice the uniqueness of the Barn as you approach it down the winding lane just off US 41.
On your visit to the Barn you will meet the owner Greg Bryant. Greg has been in the antique business since 1969. He opened his first shop behind his parents house in Bloomingdale. This is how the name Bloomin’ Barn originated.
In 1977 Greg got the opportunity to purchase the land. In the spring of that year he found an old barn that was in the need of recycling. Then came the task of dismantling the old barn and moving it. This was the start of a self planned primitive country shop and home. The barn looks as if it has been standing for centuries. The entry barn door is unique as the panes are made of old glass negatives surrounded by silver and copper vines, the artistic work of Greg’s. The brick floor was the basement of the old dismantled barn.
The three-story structure consists of the first level Antique Shop, the second floor living quarters and the third floor loft which makes up the sleeping quarters. You will find a treasured selection of antiques, iron, garden art and vintage collectibles. Covered Bridge Festival Special - 20% off your purchase and garage sale bargains.
