The quaint, small town of Rockville is the place to be all four seasons of the year. Come visit us and find yourself renewed, refreshed, and revitalized no matter the time of the year. Our “neck of the woods” is flourishing largely due to the efforts of MainStreet Rockville. You will find our town alive and doing well, offering so much for our residents and visitors.
During the warm summer months we offer community yard sales and a Cruise In/Street Dance on the courthouse square. Brick Street Market, where you will find everything from Shabby Chic to vintage to antiques, along with good food and more, is a true delight.
July 4th celebrations around the county as well as our County Fair are sure to bring out what is good about America and our weekly Farmers Market delivers a variety of fresh produce and goodies.
Fall in Rockville finds us ready for the famous Parke County Covered Bridge Festival and the estimated two million visitors who attend during the ten day event in October.
December brings the lighting of our community Christmas Tree on the courthouse lawn. Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves meet and greet and offer up cookies and hot cocoa to visitors. Enjoy carolers and visit our decked out stores as merchants open their doors to share the bounty of the Season. Or you might come early and enjoy a Home Tour compliments of the Covered Bridge Art Association.
In early spring when the maple trees begin to offer up their sweet liquid, our 4-H Fairgrounds is headquarters for the Parke County Maple Fair. Enjoy pancakes and syrup, sausage and more and/or visit our local maple camps.
MainStreet works non-stop to highlight our community because we know Rockville has so much to offer. For more information about Rockville and our projects, call us at 765-569-5226 or visit us at the Visitors’ Center. Each year we also offer a limited edition of a Covered Bridge Puzzle, and we share our county, this place we are so proud of, through our Hospitality Directory.
