After a full day of covered bridge shopping, Peaceful Waters Campground offers you a relaxing way to spend your free time. Whether you like boating, fishing in a stocked pond, or just enjoying each others fellowship around a crackling fire watching the night stars, this campground offers it all. And if you are still ready to “shop till you drop”, you’ll find plenty of opportunity right here with quality artists’ wares from which to choose.
All cabins have mattresses, a picnic table and fire ring. Two smaller cabins include a loft, a full queen bed and a twin bed. Each have a small refrigerator. A larger cabin sleeps six and has a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot.
Our largest cabin offers sleeping facilities for up to nine people and comes with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. All cabins have air conditioning.
Peaceful waters also features both electric and non-electric sites for campers with optional water hook-ups. An RV dump station is also available for your convenience.
While we are very proud of our accommodations, we also want you to know about the wonderful wares available right here on site.
The Old Goat Trading Post
David has been custom tanning hides and furs for 35 years. He started Blake’s tanning in 1982 in Lyford, IN. Dave makes traditional fur hats, mittens etc. as well as buckskin clothing. Dave then moved just outside of Glacier Park Montana where he created and copyrighted his spirit hides hair sculptures of elk, moose, deer, and buffalo hide. He named his new store The Old Goat Trading Post and used the rocky mountain goat as his logo. Dave moved back back to Parke county and set up the trading post and built the campground in 2005. David has teamed up with Alex Madison, a great friend, and one of the best leather toolers in the county. Take a step back in time and visit The Old Goat Trading Post.
