The Mansfield Village celebration of the Covered Bridge Festival is unlike nowhere else in the county. As hundreds of thousands of 
visitors gather in October every year in Parke County, Indiana, the Mansfield Covered Bridge stands out as one of the most visited. Built in 1867, this bridge is 247 feet long and was built by J. J. Daniels to cross Big Raccoon Creek. It is an icon that continues to remind us of a simpler time.

Everyone can agree that the big fall event in this area - and to many around the world - is the Mansfield Village Covered Bridge Festival.
For 10 days, beginning the second Friday in October, this historic Indiana county is host to more than 2 million visitors who tour covered bridges, shop 'til they drop and dine on festival food.

Chainsaw Artist Wendy Rhodes Returns To Mansfield
Daughter, Wendy Rhodes and her father, Mike, have toured the Midwest over the past several years demonstrating Wendy's delicate chainsaw artistry.
Previous customers love the work and will reognize the pieces. All work contains the fine detail and features that bring a realistic touch to every one of Wendy's pieces.
The welcome mat is always out in the historic village of Mansfield located in the southern part of Parke County, Indiana. Visitors can stop in at the Mansfield Village Welcome Center during all Mansfield festivals plus weekends from May through September. The MVWC houses a variety of products and serves as a hub for the area visitor’s information.
Fox's Overlook is home to a variety of treasures; gifts & collectibles, home-
cooked meals, and sweet fudge straight from the kitchen in Mansfield Village.
Enter and be greeted by a store full of antiques, collectibles, crafts, and unique teas on the lower level. Also on this level is limited seating where you can enjoy homemade chicken & noodles, bar-b-que, and other daily specials. 
Enjoy a home-cooked meal while you take in the many treasures in the surrounding shoppe. Before you leave, delight yourself with a mile-high bowl of the best strawberry shortcake in Parke County.
